Made my debut as a contributor to DDI (Domination Directory International) magazine with a feature in Issue 59 titled The Psychology of Bondage. Which was nice (as they used to say on the Fast Show).
My chum David Jackson, the magazine’s American publisher and editor, normally handles all the editorial material himself. But his work schedule for that issue was upset by an unexpected spell in hospital, so I was more than happy to help fill some pages by bashing out an article on one of my favourite pervy subjects.
When my copy finally turned up this week, I was pleased to see that I’m in an issue whose cover features exotic femme fatale Josie Lee perched purposefully on the edge of a cage — illustrating some of the very restraint equipment I discuss in my article.
But inside, where the provenance of the cover image is discussed, another picture of Josie has a caption that begins: ‘On the cover — surgery took precedence over photography this issue…’. Now my sub-editor’s training tells me that this might have been better expressed. It was, of course, David who was recovering from surgery — not, as the caption suggests, his cover model.
So I hope for his sake that she’s not as dangerous as she looks. Otherwise his next stint under the scalpel may not be as pain-free as the last one was.
